The Storytelling Workshop
A group of strangers walks into a room and forms a circle.
They tell their stories.
They listen to one another.
Something happens.
Experience what participants have called essential, empowering, and utterly transformational.
Created by Murray Nossel, PhD and Paul Browde, MD, the full-day Narativ Personal Storytelling workshop draws from anthropology, psychology, performance and neuroscience to teach the art of listening, as well as essential tools to build successful stories.
Participants are led through collaborative exercises that foster specific skills of successful storytelling. Workshop participants work on 2 of their own stories, learning to connect with their audience, to reflect on their experiences in memorable ways, and to become more effective communicators.

4-Week Storytelling Seminar Series
“I was stuck in a rut, writing in a manner that couldn’t carry my new book. Narativ’s methodology winched me free and I wrote a first draft in two weeks. I highly recommend the seminar series to anyone who needs to tell a story.”
Mindy Fullilove, MD – Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and Sociomedical Sciences, NY State Psychiatric Institute at Columbia University
Advanced 4-week format designed for excavating, shaping and delivering a cohesive narrative.
Each session includes a short lesson, creative exercises, and opportunities for in-depth feedback to enhance skills.
This is ideal for entrepreneurs, executives, authors and others who have attended a Narativ workshop and wish to refine books, sales stories, or creative projects – and anyone who wants to expand their confidence and leadership in public speaking.
Each week participants present a story of their choice, receiving additional exercises and supplementary materials on the week’s lesson. Each class is audio recorded, allowing participants to transcribe and edit their stories for continuous improvement and enhanced performance.
